internet explorer woes..

hi all i recently upgraded to the new internet explorer 6 (stupid me) and now only half the pages load, only 1/4 of the pictures load and it isnt getting any better..i was wondering if there was a way to either go back to internet explorer 5.5 or to fix my problem? i am running win2k pro as well..

In add remove programs it should give u an option of going back to 5.5.

hrmm well heres something odd..when i try and open up add/remove windows components it says i am missing optional.inf
can anyone send this to me please?

then i think a reinstall is inorder. Plus windows works better too.

well if i choose to reinstall i can either completely reinstall it having to have to reinstall all my programs, or i can let it repair it but it says that on repair all programs are not affected..if this is true then it wont reinstall internet explorer will it?
