Just a quick question about this card. Looks decent but I havent had enough time to do research on it. I can get it new for 90$ at best buy w/ the 10% deal this weekend. Was wondering if this is a decent card. Gonna put it in my wifes comp, only 3d game she really plays is gonna be world of warcraft. Any info greatly appreciated :D

The FX5500 is really a entry level card that will not perform well.I dont know about warcraft though.

I have that card in my secondary rig. it's marginal, you're better off with a 5700.

I believe the 5700 and 9600 series cards are a better buy if you cant find a 9700 or 9800 which would be my first choice in budget cards....

try a 5600. The 5600 is expensive. If you would like, you can buy my 5700LE 256MB for $83 and it comes with 3 games. Its in good condition 2. :bday:

ok, just game from comparing at best buy they dont really have alot. Altho i seen a 5700 LE for 60$ after a 40$ rebate, only 128mb but thats all i need. Is the 5700LE better then a regular 5600? just tryin to get the most bang for my buck. On a side note, comparing some vendors i seen the EVGA had like 83 million verticies per sec whereas chaintechs card had i think 300 mill verts. whats up with that? Anyway I appreciate all your info so far.

Correct........My secondary rig has a ti4200 and it plays WoW GRANDLY it looks amazing! thier like 65 used
