Does firefox keep temp internet files

What OS do you use?

Diskcleanup will deal with IE files, but not those of other browsers. If you're running XP you need to go to Documents and Settings><User Name>>Application Data>Mozilla>Firefox>Profiles>***.qlt>cache and manually clean out that folder. It's where Firefox stores its temp info.

I'm not sure where it would be in other Win versions, but using the above as a guide you should be able to find it.

That is true, but if you want to use a third party disk cleaner, you still need to know where the files are stored.

It's also just a good idea to have a notion where different programs store stuff on your rig.

How to clear Firefox's cache has been covered, but if you're looking at disk cleanup software, I'd take a peek at CCleaner. It will clear out IE, Firefox, as well as quite a few other programs that leave temporary files.
