View Full Version : IE cant open some websites
hi. im getting a strange problem downloading some websites. theres no way for me to open sites like the http://www.nameplanet.com/ and some other few ones using my IE. have updated to the 5.5 SP1 then 5.5 SP2 and now, just to test IE6 but the problem still persists. it keeps showing its loading the page but it will never show up. tried already all security options for the internet and also the advanced ones but nothing. i have an ADSL connection.
please, any suggestion is most welcome.
The problem could be a lot of things starting from your ADSL Dial up manager to say some windows error.
But, go to http://www.safeweb.com and try accessing the page from there if you really need to.
i just noticed now safeweb is another website i cannot open too.
what do that pages possibly have for the IE not to open them? or, what on them could possibly generate the errors? i tried already the JAVA options into the browser advanced settings but they also modified nothing.

It sounds like you've lost a server somewhere along the way. I'd assume it has something to do with the WTC crash today.
Don't let the madness go to your head...keep it cool.
Realistic outlook on this tragedy. (http://www.overclockers.com/tips637)
so what must be the problem?
no clues about that? just noticed cant also open sharkyextreme and the list seems to be enlarging. what must be possibly happening?
thanks a lot.
have just noticed now into my security tab in advanced settings its lacking the option PCT 1.0. i think thats may causing the problem. please, could anyone assure me if i should really have this option?
thanks.
