yea just what the title suggests I being the slave to the people saw how good water cooling was and hopped on board.
I as many of my family friends and chums know forgetful I forget things I was just told and so on and so forth, seeing this you most likely geussed I forgot to plug the pump in. I was quiet amazed at what the result was though. heat enough to re-melt the solder of the copper block although dislodging a large amount of the chopped up chunks, that must have gotten stuck when it was soldered shut. The plexiglass clamp was melted to the block and the hoses to the block were melted off all in all it was a sore situation...
I thought forsure that my cpu was toast gone forever had to buy a new one :( well I am happy to say that my t-bird is alive and well... probably not well but its alive I must say that any other machine I will buy is gonna be AMD based.

has it melted over the cpu so you can get it of or something like that?

I have never heard of something like this happening before...

Well done to your cpu for surviving though

true true. the block is still working the whole thing is very discoloured all except where the core was there was a perfect squ that had AS2 tattooed Athlon backwards but yes I count my blessings very happy that it still works and I never unplugg or turn the pump off any more if i do i do so thru the power bar. least til i make a relay for the power i saw a realy cool looking frankinstein switch at radio shack i might pick up ^^

I must say its shocked my pants off when I saw the blob of solder sticking out the side, if I can get my hands on a digi cam I will snap some pics my friend has one but the POS won't work in my system I think I might just buy one.
the scary par is I was away from it for 20 mins max if my computer would not have been off when I saw it was not plugged in I would be shopping for a new one the moment I plugged it in water surged through it slowly creeping tot he water block fittings then past them and showering my grafix card with health water... soooo glad I had to take out one part notice it off turned it on and all wet but its working fine now I really a thinking bout creating a box for my puter.
