I have an EPoX 8k7A+ with a 1.4GHZ AMD processor. I installed a Swiftech 462A (three times) with Arctic Silver and my temps are still 43 C idle and 48 C under load. I installed Vcool and it keeps my idel temps to 38 C. My case temps are 31 to 33 C. I have the side of my case open to help circulate air. Are my temperatures appropriate for my setup? Other people show temps much much lower!!
Whats the temp in your room?
It does make a difference at 75f I get 48c load same setup as you and 70f I get 43c.
I also noticed my temps went down a little after running my new setup for about 8hrs.
Right now I am running folding and getting 24.3 motherboard and 40c cpu.
I am using a 30cfm delta fan.

My room temps are about 77 F (on a budget to pay for Compture LOL). Are you running the same setup? I am worried I installed something incorrectly and that is why I am getting higher temps than everyone else.
:(
Oh my bad sorry not the same :(
I am using a sk6 heatsink not the swiftech.
Am using a geforce 3, 8k7a and 1.4ghz at 10.5x155. 1.9v
For your room temperature, that CPU temperature is not out of line. If, when you put the cover on, the temperature goes up appreciably, then you can assume you need more case ventilation. Good choice of HSF though. If it came with the Sanyo Denki fan, going to the Delta will help a few degrees.

Sounds like case ventialation to me I had the same prob in my mid tower before I got the big beasty server case, The dual power supply fans by enermax are good if you don't want to cut your case for extra vents.
