Taskbar wont skin

hey guys, yes me the guy who wrote the customize xp tutorial has a problem with xp's taskbar. i tried doing a standard uxtheme hack....went sucessful, rebooted, explorer couldnt start cuz it couldnt find uxtheme ..uh oh..so i replace it with a hacked one..ok it shuts up, but now my xp task bar wont skin..it just changes colors..i relaoded the old uxtheme from my winxp cd, but no luck. any ideas guys
