I was formating my pc and while the drivers were downloading i got this error message on the blue screen it said the file symc8xx.sys is corrupted....Then i pressed enter and it restarted my pc now i cant format

What OS? What are you formatting from, floppy or CD? Got an emergency repair disc?

Windows XP I am trying to boot off the cd windows xp sp2

Check for the latest BIOS for your board. I'd also run a HDD diag, and MemTest86+ .
