Need Bars On Me Wirless Network ...

ok currently i have a SMC wireless router. my server and my comp are hard wired and my sisters comp uses a wireless adapter ( USB WIRESLESS ADAPTER ), and my dads is like 20 feets away in the grageand he is also using wireless internet ( USB WIRESLESS ADAPTER ). my sisters comp since its only 2 feet away it gets high signal and its working fine. now the problem starts with my dads. he gets low signal and also it tends to disconnect from time to time. any ideas how i can cheaply raise the signal or any idea on how i can stop it from disconnecting.

and yes i cant spell :attn: and yes i am a cheap bastered :attn:.

hm.

look into the ghetto-cheap cantenna for your dad, or router.

or possibly reposition your router...but i dont see why 20 feet would be an issue.
I get signal in my CAR, and in that direction its a good 80-100 feet, and through 2 foundation walls, and a few regular walls...as well as my car...and its a "weak" signal that seems to work fine.

im a good 20 feet here in bed, throuh 2 walls and a floor, and get full signal...

possibly your router is giving weak signals?

hmm iwell one reason it might be is because i have a SMC router. but just to make sure here is a screen shot of my router wireless set up.
and for some reason its tiny. im trying to fix that.
