Heres the deal, i have the new 21.80's and i used coolbits to overclock my card. I overclocked it (Geforce 2GTS) to 210/378 and i ran 3dmark2001. What i did was i set 3dmark2k1 to loop infinitely. I let that run overnight and when i woke up, the comp froze....is this right? Did anyone else do this? Is this right?

Does the PC still work
1, If it does, no point to answer you
2, if it doesn't, the gfx card burns. Is like you have to run uphill for 10hours in hot sun (35C) and that GPU i thinnk is running at a higher temperature (minimum 51C)
Tell me 3 things n I will figure out for you
1, The PC configuration (Including Fans information and do u use original fan for gfx card n did u apply silver compound thermal grease to the gpu?)
2, Does the PC still work
3, What is the temperature before you start 3d mark

The comp works fine, it was just a hard-lockup. Here are my specs:
t-bird 1gig@1.2gigs
a7v133 mobo
4.32 4-in-1
1 maxtor 7200rpm 20gb HD
12x DVD rom SONY
Sound Blaster Live
2 NIC's
V7700 Geforce2GTS
2 case fans, one at front intake, one at back exhaust
temp are unusually high, they are at 57C idle for video card !!!!
diagnos it please...lol

Since the PC is fine.... why bother asking this questions?

I wanna know why i can't overclock my card without the comp freezing? I should be able to overclock right?

YES! But you should considered that you have loop the 3D Mark 2001 for so many times man! And did you think of cooling?
Put more thermal grease (with silver compounds) or if you really wanna loop your 3D Mark 2001 for 48hrs, try Orange/BLue Orb

i think it's a heat problem........
although the original cooler on there should get you within 10% o/c but it all depends on case cooling and air flow and stuff like that(if it's heat problem then run comp with open case
this problem might be related to cpu o/c and temp too....
have u suceeded to run 3dmark loop for 25times without crashing using default settings for everything?
if not then try that

Ya, ive ran 3dmark2k1 for 8 hours at default speeds with no lockups.

but at what temps?
this is important as heat is enemy to o/c
