it is tru that if when i get xp, i have to call in and get a new SN every time i upgrade my computer?? eg: ram, vidercard,soundcard,cpu????

That WAS true, but they're changing Product Activation, which is what causes this. There's a story on the front page here. (http://www.overclockers.com/tips636/) It goes over the latest incarnation of WPA.
