I am looking for some good 5.1 speakers, not even close to top of the line but I would be willing to spend about 50-100, now i know thats not a lot but you can still get quality speakers from time to time on good bargains, anyone have any suggestions?

try cyber acoustics. i used to have a 5.1 setup of theirs (can't remember which set it was) that i got for $80.00 (this was about 3 years ago). It was extremely good. However... my Logitech Z-680's were just a tad bit better :)

Factory Refurbished Klipsch ProMedia GMX D-5.1
Not the best Klipsch has to offer, but still solid speakers especially at $99.

They may not be the best...but my Logitech Z-640's do a damn good job. Plus I hear they are down to like 50 bucks a set. :santa2:

Agreed. Great bang for the buck indeed. They are pretty good sound quality as well.

They replace the 640's (damn fine speakers for the price).

I got my Z-5300's refurbished for $100, they are much better speakers than those.

what i thought when i was first shopping for speakers, is that i mostly wear headphones so i will save a little money, so i bought the z640's like mentioned above, i seen them at the local micro center for 49.99 last week but i intally ordered mine from newegg, i am very pleased with my speakers. i did not think they would sound as nice as they did, there not the best speakers but i would give them a A+ for the overall condsering the price. they seem to be a favorite of alot of my friends after they heard mine they went and bought a set, Great priced good sounding speakers the sub could be a bit more rich, but only cause i listen to rap music, sounds great watching movies

Yes the 640 is great. I've upgrade from them to the z680 when it was onsale. Now, it's just great. Until recently when my brother brought his Bose Lifestyle 48, which blows and make the z680 sounds like crap. But he's using it for the living room home theater. Would be great to test it out on gaming.

Z-680's sound like crap? must be some awesome bose speakers. i have a good friend who has a full set of the bose acoustimas system (well over $2,000), and my z-680's sound just as good (he has deeper bass, but what else do you expect from a 16 inch, 1,000 watt woofer?)

Wait until you see the Bose 48 speakers. They're small ( like 6" tall for 2 speakers) and can kick the punch of loud speakers.

this threat makes me want to cry :(

PSP and TollhouseFrank please go to an audio forum and search "bose"

i have the z-640 speakers, and i'm going to totally recommend them. for $49.99 with free shipping from amazon, it's practically impossible to beat the sound quality/price ratio of these speakers.
