Hooking up a TV to the computer

I tried hooking my TV up the other day to test it out but the picture was crap I have a normal 26" tv is there somthing I should be doing to make the pic look better.

The picture is not that great, but if you feel it's supposed to be better then you might want to try another cable.

ya the Picture will be 800 x 600 and kinda of fuzzy, u may want to try and adjust ur setting on ur video card...it took me a few trys to get the picture sharp on my HTPC i had to adjust my contrast, sharpness, and i think something like flikker
