Hi,
I need some input. I have a 1.33 AXIA "D" and have it overclocked to 1.48 and my temps under load are 50-53c !
I am using a WBK-38 from Globalwin but I just ordered a
Thermalright SK-6 Heatsink with Delta 60X60X25 38CFM fan.
Will this new HSF lower my temps to below 45C under load?
What do you think about the SK-6 ?? Is it good?

It is one of the best out there, but what case cooling do you have? This is as important as heatsink/fam combo selection.

I have a Enlight case... http://enlightcorp.com/pc_cases/7230.shtml
It has a front lower fan in case and the same size /speed (2700rpm) fan in the rear of the case.
I am getting an Enermax PSU unit soon and it also has a big fan to take in air at the bottom of the powersupply and an exhaust fan.

For now I have the side of my case off, because the ambiant temps have been in the 80's f here and when I put the side of the case back on, my CPU temps went to 55c up from 52c !

Can anyone tell me what they would do? I hope this new Fan/HS will do the trick to lower my CPU temps.
Thanks!

What i would do is put a couple of 90mm fans in front and one in the rear, maybe an 80mm chimney fan. To keep an athlon cool you really need a minimum of 100 cfm through the case.

Well, I am still waiting for my Thermalright SK-6 w/Delta fan to arrive tomorrow and a new Enermax 450w PSU.
In the meantime, does anyone know how good my chip might be to get higher than 1500mhz? Its a AXIA 'D'. I have not seen anyone else with a 'D'.
I am also thinking of changing my back case exhaust fan to a Delta that I will take off my Globalwin HSF. This may get more hot air out of the case, correct?
