Whatta drag. I was already up to 222 units. (Yes, I know alot of people lost alot more than that; but I just started!)
Is it ok to be a member of overclockers even if you haven't overclocked yet? I tried to oc my K6 2-450, but, as I have since read, that's nearly impossible to do. I have now bought an Athlon 1400 mhz. That should be "pretty" fast without oc. 8>)
I do have an EPOX 8KTA3+ mobo though. I read that it's pretty good for ocing with.
I am folding for personal reasons and would coutinue to do so even without stats, but the stats do make it fun. We are competative types, you know. I would like to kick butt and see our team be #1.

No you don't have to be OC'ed. I was just going to cross the 4000 wu mark when we were "ZEROED" I got so mad I started shopping for a Dual AMP mob I'm going to KICK IT UP A NOTCH!! My quest is to see Overclockers Folding Team #1

Yeah, I know what ya mean. I would be alot more upset if I was about to cross the 4k wu mark. But, you still know what you had. We know what you had. Good work.
I want to see overclockers be #1, too. Three days ago, I went from running just at night to running 24X7. Wanted to get my numbers up. lol. Didn't know we were about zeroed!
Decided to put my pentium 200 to folding. It did 9 whole frames in just one night. Oh, well. It tried really hard.
May buy another t-bird 1.4 ghz. One local place has them for $115.00. (Plus fan and tax, of course.) But then I saw that other new guy who has about 10 boxes and I got a little discouraged.
Oh, I'll still get another 1.4 ghz and put it to folding 24X7. But it'll be a little hard to beat a guy with 10 machines. Glad he's on our team.
GO TEAM! #2 aint bad. #1 is even better.

Oh, yeah. Don't let the user name put you off. I know Ned Clocker is pretty nerdy. I was definetly lacking in imagination when I came up with that one. I didn't want to spend too much time thinking about it though. I wanted to get to folding.

Oh, well, gee whiz, I'll go get 3 or 4 of them tonight!
Seriously, does it take 2 t-birds or 1 of those MP t-birds?
(Not that I'll be getting one anytime soon.)
Has anyone seen the athlon 1.4 for less than $115.00 in the Houston area?
Yeah,
I bought the Tyan Tiger MP and the power supply for the Tyan Thunder K7. Guess what the power supply has too many pins. Oh well, I guess I have to wait a bit longer before I get my first Athlon system up and running.

Today would be nice, if you could get it. Online is usually cheaper.

Whats up with the power supply? Do you need a special one like with P4?
The Thunder k7 requires a special power supply like the p4. it has 24 pins instead of the normal 20.
Its a nice power supply and all....but it doesn't fit!!!
Apparantly the Tiger MP only requires a 300w ps. This is straight from tyan. I am getting an Antec 400 just for good measure.
