hey all i just got my raptor in the mail hooked it up got windows to recognize it then tried to use Western Digital DataLifeguard to copy from my 120g to the 74g raptor it will copy every thing except the pagefile... understandable considering windows uses the pagefile all the time and should usually create a new one on a imaged drive as i have done this in the past and works just fine... well here is the deal i get everything imaged and then shutdown unplug the 120g and just boot from the raptor it will boot up but when i go to log in to windows it gives me an error about not being able to verify the windows key and i cant get it to get past that as when it does do that it logs me right back out...

can anyone help me with this and do not say just start fresh because it to about a week to get the comp the way i wanted it and i do not want to start over... though if that is the only thing that i can do than i guess i will try...

You don't need the pagefile to start up Windows. If you start up the 74gig Raptor drive without the pagefile present, Windows will create a new one.

Format the raptor, then install XP onto it. Then boot with the 120 gig and copy your data over by hand.
That's usually what I end up doing with hard dirve changes.

here is the thing i did what you said and tried to copy over files and every file on the 120gig is access denied no matter what i do... how can i get them over and i dont have them backed up on another drive... and even if i boot from the 120 and try to copy files they still say access denied

disable simple file sharing. There may be permissions which are blocking you from copying the files over.
