Okay I need another heatsink. I need something other than the SK6, glaciator, gladiator,orbs, and swiftech
I don't want something too heavy though cause I'm scared I will crush it. I need something for my 1.4 TBIRD 266FSB

um there arent many other choices are there? why dont you want one of the ones you have listed? SK6 is supposed to be the best....

so you dont want to overclock then?cuz you knocked out the big boys with that list except for the Orb they are just crap in my opinion vid card cooler maybe but cpu forget about it

i'm tellin ya, price for pound , the SK6 is one of the best out there and one of the cheaper ones to go with.
why don't you want any of the ones up there?

I'm using a Golden Gate, but I think it's essentially identical to a Gladiator, so it's out.

Just follow the instructions & you'll be fine. You can check out Swiftechs site & after you see the drop test on the MC462 I'm sure you will be convinced that it's OK

trancebear i read a review on this page SK6 beat the swifty, but i think that was as swifty was using a YS tech, butt the SK6 a delta......
o well, swifty is out of most peoples price bracket.... but you are damn right about it working :p

well there are tradeoffs in everything, copper is better cooling but heavier, aluminium not as effective but lighter, the thermo-engine is aluminium i believe, not sure of weight tho and its up there with the copper heatsinks cooling wise...

i think the SK6 is probably the lightest, its just outside AMD's recomended weight..... but it does have a little brother i think... the SK5, check it out at www.thermalright.com
