View Full Version : TEMPS fluctuating
rite now my computer is at 30 degrees celsius IDLE
with my VCORE at 1.75 (mobo says 1.81) and my 5V rail at 5.13
now the problem is that when i put load on the computer for example F@H my temps go up at %C at a time up to 60C then when i stop in like 5 seconds it goes down to like 45 and then 35
this happened after i replaced my PSU with an Antec 400W

when u replaced the PSU is it possible when unplugging the old connector from the MOBO u accidently shifted the heatsink slightly? i dont know where the connector is in relation to the socket u see... but if the HS moved it would explain the high temps.... and if u running cooling software that would explain low idle temps
well i am running no cooling software and right after i turn of the load my temps drop too fast to make sense with NO cooling software this is crazy i am preety sure the Dwiftech didnt move

if you have a temp probe check to see if the temps on your BIOS or temp software are accurate.

i dont have a temp probe currently

I would seriously consider getting one as you can then tell the accurate temp of your CPU...
Many mobo sensors are way off the accurate temp...

you could somehow be getting air under the socket..... so when it goes to idle fresh air is getting in and cooling the sensor fast.... but that doesnt explain 60celsius load....

why would i before i installed my PSU everything was perfect my load temp was like 49C now its 55+C??

I'd take off the HSF and re-apply AS(2), just to be sure it's not badly seated, etc.

put your old psu back if you have it and see if the temps go down.
Their could be a voltage problem where this PSU is actually giving too much voltage too the mobo and actually causing an overheated cpu because the voltage to it has increased.

but that wouldnt explain how after the load is taken off that it goes down in temps at like 5 degrees at a time
i was playing CS and i had set an alarm for anything higher that 70 degrees Celsius and guess what after like 5 minutes of playing temps went to 70C but it didnt crash or anything
