After Intel brang there 1.1GHz Celeron2 processor out, AMD jumped and began to ready its 1.1GHz Duron processor. At the current point, we should see the 1.1GHz Duron processor by early october, maybe even later this month!

Hmm, I also noticed that I can buy a Abit KT7E Motherboard for $109 CAN, WOW, thats a good price, and I believe people reported it doing a 133FSB.

A 1.1GHz Duron and this board could be a deadly cheap alternative!

"down the road, 1.4GHz???"
haha, over at id software, Carmack was using what appeared to b a 1.4GHz Duron processor running Doom3, demostrating how well a value processor would stack up!, and I will tell you, he was impressed with it! So if Carmack has this chip, maybe we will have it soon to?

And how come he gets the latest and greatest ahhhh!? he also has a 3GHz pentium4 for playing with rrr.

cheers all!

Not if you can snag a Shuttle AK31 rev 2 for $85 and Crucial DDR for the same price as PC133.... you'd have a much better overclocking board that would outperform the KT7E....

such is the over exited hype about ABit. The KT133e chipset really is nothing to scream about. It does 133 and no more.
