Well I went to OC my new GF2 MX400 and look at my Core and Mem mhz speeds.
Wow you would get some serious performance with those specs aye.
Another topic ; Hey how did you get that .gif to become valid , what OS are you using. I'm asking because every time I try to save a .gif it will be invalid all I can save is a bitmap image with all that MS paint crap with the pic , by the way I'm using 98.

Yea that is at default settings lol. Also useing the new drivers.
Mad 3d says I am getting something like 3500+ I think.
Use Jasc paint shop pro. You can get a 60 day run on it.
The new drivers could be the problem.
Try powerstrip (http://speshalk.dyndns.org:18012/programs/Video%20Card%20Utilities/ps302.zip).

Much better thanks pinky. To bad I couldn't have the core and the mem at that speed. I'd spanke your GF3 like it was a little 2 meg autocad card. :)
Just bumped it up a bit.
Core 210mhz mem172mhz

Oops orignal settings on the card.
I'd work on the memory, 190mhz is not out of reach. The GPU any higher than the memory is pretty much worthless.

if i change my specs in powerstrip(the one i dled from pinky it doest change my speed???) for somne reason only nvmax and geforcetweaker and coolbits work, and they dont give me much performance gain

I have three versions. I think 2 of them are beta. I leave all the different versions up for preference... you may want to try another... but NVmax should work fine too, not in Ambien's case though.

Ambientfiction,
The exact same thing hapened to me when I installed Win Xp on my spare Hard drive to test it out. I removed all traces of Nvmax 3.00.48 Beta and reinstalled it and it fixed the problem.
One problem Im having is running AV software with XP and I tried InnoculateIt and PCcillin and XP seems to diable the boot sector monitoring and file monitoring. AdsubtractPro also responded to an email I sent them and they are working on fixing a few bugs to be fully compatible with XP.
I really like the speed and interface of XP but alot of software isnt quite up to snuff while using it.
Its funny I read the list of software not supported during install and there is more not working than what was on the list

Ok I go above 190mhz on the mem and get artifacts. So do I need to lower the core and then up the mem the core is it 210mhz.
oc jason

yes. the best way to do it is set the core at default, and then raise the mem by 3 mhz till it crashes then drop it by 5. That way you just a hair under stable to be safe. Then once the max mem speed is determined start to do the same thing with the core. Upping the core does virtually nothing anyways

Well without ramsinks I am stuck at 190mhz on my memory at 192.5 or 193 I get artifacts but the frigging core can hit 210 to 215mhz before artifacts.
Itsn't the mem supposed to higher than the core? I can't seem to find a mem module that is warm. So whats keeping it back?

Your Gforce2 speeds are way too high but mine are way too low!!!
Look at my NvMax reported speeds...

I've been using Riva Tuner and no probs. Just moved to W2K and the 12.90 drivers from Pinkys DL page. 200/200
Thanks again Pinky for the 12.90 drivers...........

Ambient Fiction, I dont think these numbers are correct... I dont think Nvmax is working properly... I oc the core to 210 and mem to 221 and no problems whatsoever!!! This is rather strange, ill have to try something else!
