i just bought some parts from new egg and i was wondering what would be the best ram for my pc.

MSI "K8N Neo2 Platinum" NVIDIA nForce3 ULTRA
AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache, Socket 939 64-bit

I was hoping getting a 512 under 100.. any suggestions

If you absolutely need to stay at $100, then I would suggest as said 2-2-2-5 pc 3200. Now I would also suggest matched 2 x 256 modules, unless you plan to buy another stick of 512 later. 2 x 256 will run a little tighter when oc'd. For $ 100 you can pick up some patriot sticks with Samsung TCCD. But however, If you can manage to spend a little more, and like to over clock, I would suggest G skill pc 4400 thats rated at 2.5-3-3-8. Its priced around $140 for 512.

G. Skill 2x256 LC's

I know you said you wanted to stay under 100.00...but it is worth the extra 30.00 for the G. Skill...even better for the LA's, but they are close to 150.00...

I run the LC 1G kit right now in system specs below...as you can see...275FSB/HTT and default voltage is not a problem at all since they are rated PC4400 (275FSB) ;)...
