5.1 headphones or just good headphones for $50-60

Just looking for good headphones, and how do these so called 5.1 headphones? just reccommend some good ones for about $50-60.

i can always just look at headphones at any website. Seems you are reccomending seisenhouser, or whatever they are. anyone else want to recomend something?

Sennhieser PC150 or the Zalman 5.1 Surround headphones. Ive owned both pairs and they have excellent quality and crisp sound. 2 Best sets of headphones for $40 - $50.

I am going to have to disagree with the above. For $60 you can't beat the grados sr60s its just not possible. Sure they dont have a mic but man they sound sooo much nicer for music and movies and are just as good in games. 5.1 is IMHO a gimmick since a good headphone will do great placement. If you want a larger sound stage with a much darker more veiled sound get the Sennheiser hd497s. These 2 sets are leaps and bounds better then the pc150s and the like.

really really old thread but http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=298981 is the thread that i posted when i was looking into basically the same thing, i kept putting off ordering them for a looong time so finally i ordered them today (christmas day) ... ill let ya know how i think they sound but it might be a while because of UPS ground shipping

I just ordered those Grados sr 60s should have them in 3 days possibly wed or thurs! I'LL let you know they sound really good,never heard them so i'm going onn your recomendation and the websites praises of them! came to 74.00 with tax and shipping. :santa:
