I just got my vantec HSF and damn its so kewl. I wanted to ask what way should the fan be blowing? Should it be blowing out or should it be blowing towards the heatsink? I did both and it seems when I put the fan blowing towards the heatsink it get colder more. Any suggestion?

I believe you should ALWAYS have the airflow towards the HS. This cools the HS which in turn cools the core, etc....

alphas have the fans blowing up but this is more of a noise issue then a cooling issue

the fan blowing out helps to eliminate the dead spot at the centre of the fan. thats why some people like to do it, though it would be more effective to mount the fan on the end of a duct blowing in so the air will actually hit every part of the heatsink, especially the middle right over the core, just experiment, if blowing in makes the CPU cooler, thats the best set up for your computer, and if it turns out blowing out makes it cooler, use that!!

I asked the same thing and just had to experiment. The best for you would be the one with the lowest temps. For my DD cooling cube, it is better pulling the air through. Just have to try both to see which is the best.
