Most GF2 Ultra's have 4ns ram so you should be able to hit 500mhz on the ram. Overclocking the core isnt going to get you the fps that overclocking the ddr memory will.

Here's some very good information on your card for comparison:

Sounds like you have the core cooled down nicely, Maybe head down to your local radio shack and buy a few of these, If you dont have thermal adhesive RS sells thermal tape.

wow 500mhz on the ram..thats alot! if i overclcok the ram more with the exhisting sinks will it damage the ram or will it become unstable before any damage is done?

itll become unstable, or youll see artifacts, before damage is done

For comparison, I've got my card at 290 / 530, stable as a horse stable. lol

Sometimes if you turn the core wayyyyy up, you can't get the RAM up very high. Try lessening the core's clock, and upping the RAM. You should be able to get far more RAM clockspeed then that, at least 40 more.

I COULD put my core all the way up to around 340, but the RAM won't go past 450 then. And visa versa, I can get the RAM up to the full 600 allowable (coolbits reg hack), but the GPU wouldn't be able to exceed 215. And it's the RAM that gets you those fantastically detailed textures, not the GPU. 270MHz on the GPU is plenty 'nuff to give you MASSIVE polygons.

That's just my experiances though. Experiment, but keep moderation in mind. You'd rather have huge processing ability, AND textures, as opposed to one or the other, wouldn't you?

As far as I know, GF2 Ultras have 5.0 nS RAM, and a select few, I believe Gainward, have 4.4 nS RAM. I think you're thinking of GF3's that have 4.0 nS RAM.

thank you PhLuBB for the help..my question now is where do you think i will see more of an impact on performance in gaming overclocking the cpu from 1.7 to 1955mhz and sticking with my current video card overclock, or setting the cpu back to 1.7 thus lowering the fsb and allowing me to overclock the geforce 2 ultra card even more..?

Do both. The more FSB speed you can get, the more data can be shot to the vidcard, and the more it can do for you.
