I was told that folding has no effect on anything...but for some reason, if i have my folding program running (even when paused) NFSU wont run. It will open, and then minimize. Whats up with this?

nope...if i select it, or load it again, it just open up, then minimises again. Whatever was up is still up, and the program selected in the bar is NFS Underground. if i close folding, it works perfectly.

also another quick question...if i "borg" another computer on another internet source with my name and team 32 it will work right, right? everything i read talks about multiple computers on the same lan.

You can have infinite amounts of computers using the same username/password. I have 35 active computers right now... Just change the client.cfg to have your name, and make sure the team # is 32. When they turn in WUs, the stats page counts everything under you.

As for the gaming issue... I have never heard of such a thing. I have run every game, including NFSU with the folding running.

Are you using the One-Click install? Exactly what "program" for folding do you close to get the game to work?

the minimizing prob...i have that too, I'm just too lazy to go to the console version :/

the minimizing problem is because of the GUI version, the GUI version stinks compared to the one click it wastes CPU cycles drawing pictures and it also does the minimizing of games as you noticed.

I was too lazy too. I liked seeing the Graphical thing do it's job. Then I switched and BAM! My points are way up. The setting on the "One-Click" and the performance boost of a better Folding program gave me at least a 15% boost in points. Took me from Blue to Green before. (Now I'm Orange with only adding 4 PCs)

With the one click, is it easy to check my stats, and what % of a WU im at? i have them, and i have edited... but i dont want to waste the 233 frames ive allredy completed.

Also, is it easy to pause the one click? i have to puase it over night, or i cant sleep.

ick...ive installed the one click, after pauseing and closing my GUI one...i used the dual one, but my cpu usage still stays around 50%.

i also see no easy way to pause this one...

you shoudl only use the single one, you don't have a pentium 4 with HT, it only stays around 50% because your gui might not be paused?

Yeah, use the Single one unless your PC has a Hyper Threading Pentium IV.

To check the stats on it, use the "Electron Microscope" which is much more detailed version of the GUI.

To pause it without using any program, just go to Start Menu->Control Panel->Administrator Tools->Services (picture of 2 gears)->scroll down and click on FAH->select properties and click on Pause. (Or just use the Electron Microscope)
