Okay, here is a simple question, what would be the best way to test if my video card is rock stable in 3dapplications? Do i run 3dmark2001? If so, how many times? Is there any other program? Do i play COunterstrike? If so for how long? Do i play the Quake3:Team Arena demo i downloaded at www.dowload.com? If so for how long? I really wanna test to see if there is any problrems, thanks

Yep run 3dMark2001 a few times straight through. It's a good test of overall system stability 'cos it stresses the ***** out of your system.
If you make it through say 4-5 times no crashes/lockups I'd say that's quite stable. Works for me anyway ;)

Are you sure? 4-5 minutes only? Anyone have any other suggestions? Not that i dont like Violators, its just that i want an OVERALL perspective.

I meant run it through the full test 4 or 5 times, each test will take around 5 mins ;)

Keep an eye for trashed textures & errant vertices, those will tell you if your oc'ing the vid.card too much.
Also, I noticed that 3dMark2001 doesn't get corrupted when Max Payne does, so I think Max Payne is more stressful for the card.
Same happens with Rally Championship Xtreme (demo), except it gets corrupted @ even lower clocks than Max Payne. That's what I've seen on my box, your mileage may vary.
