I'm at a loss here. In playing the HL2 demo, my system crashes. I'll be playing along happily, then start getting a lot of disk swapping and finally get a box up as the game closes saying that memory at address such and such could not be read.
Thus far, I've run the MS memory diag from the OCA site. That passed a thorough test for multiple passes. I've run a full HDD diagnostic from Maxtor. That passes. I tried defragging the HD since that was well overdue. That helped in that the crash didn't occur as soon, but it still crashed after awhile.
System temps aren't especially high. I think the LED is reading about 33C when it crashed. Core temps tend to read about 6-7 degrees higher than that, so still not especially high.
I haven't yet reinstalled Windows (which I'm thinking of doing soon as it seems to be acting a bit flaky lately). Anyone have any other suggestions before I go through all that trouble?
