View Full Version : Are SAMSUNG SDRAMs any good ?
Pretty simple question :
Are SAMSUNG SDRAMs (PC133) good ?
Do they overclock well ?
I have seen the Samsung chip on a lot of generic brands of ram. For instance that was the chip on the ram in my old Emachines.

I have 6ns Samsung ram on my video card, and it sucks compared to other cards ive seen with EliteMT ram for overcloking :(
I´m considering buying 2 x 128Mb Samsung PC133 sticks. I know it´s generic brand, but I´m trying to avoid Nec chips.
Since here in Brasil there are almost no options (no Corsair, Crucial, Mushkins, Tonikons,...), the Samsung ones rate pretty well against others available.
So, before buying, I´d like to know if someone ever tried overclocking Samsung SDRAM and how far they go.
What´s important to me is not the top clock speed possible to obtain, but rather a stable 133MHZ CAS 2 operation.
