Greetings, i dont know much about memory and would like some advice please.
i have 2 128mb sticks of pc133 ram from micron, they run at cas 3 up to 133 and cas 2 up to 100. in my bios i can set the memory at 100 or 133. is it better to run the memory at 133 cas 3 or 100 cas 2 ?
system is a duron 900 running at 105x9.5, MB is a az11e. because of this aweful MB i cant get my fsb past 105 :(
thanks for any advice you can give :)

You can probably push it to 105 at CAS2. 105 at CAS2 would probably be superior to 133CAS3.
At any rate. Try both! Download the latest version of SiSoft's Sandra Benchmarking utilities. (You can probably get them on Pinky's FTP site, though I haven't checked it thoroughly). Check each setting and see what gets you more memory bandwidth. :)
While memory is rated for certain speeds its often possible to run the memory at lower timings than rated.
You will just have to try but I think 133 cas 2 would be very possible.

Sandra 2001 is available at Pinky´s FTP. There are also the new Dets and CpuIdle. It´s a great resource place and we should all thank Pinky for that !
Thanks Pinky !
As Valid says, get SiSoft and run a memory benchmark with both settings.
I reckon that you'll be better running 133/3 rather than 100/2. The CAS does affect the performance slightly, but not as much as oc'ing the fsb by 33%. The CAS only really affects the access speed, not overall performance.
Play with the settings and check with SiSoft.
