So I got tired of so many wires, and so many speakers with my previous Z-640 setup. I happened to be at Microcenter yesterday and compared the Klipsch 2.1's and the Logitech z-2300's.
Klipsh sounded very good, but the Logitech's really tweaked my interest after listening to them, so I bought a set.
Keep in mind that I don't use these for home theatre. I have a 7.1 setup with a Pioneer THX receiver for that paired with JBL Studio speakers all around.
After the initial setup, I was pleased, but the sound seemed a little 'flat' - sounded good, but not what my ears were looking for. I got into the EQ of mediaplayer and started tweaking.
Now I'm happy! Very clean sound, great high's, excellent midrange (once I tweaked the EQ), and awesome bass.
Make no mistake, these things are LOUD, but also very balanced.
Played some Velvet Revolver with the volume set about half way, and the hair stood up on the back of my neck! Now that's what I'm talking about!!
I know most people around here look for 5.1 setups, but if you're like me, these z-2300's are great sounding speakers and I highly recommend them.
