Lapping my Heatsink was the best thing I ever did

I just finished lapping my Global Win VOS 32!
I must say, I´m really impressed what some lapping can do for your temps
I used to run my CPU at temperatures like 42 idle and 47 full "Folding" load. Now I get 36 idle and 39 full load.
The bottom of my Heatsink had really bad machine marks, you could feel them easily when running a fingernail over the bottom.

goob job m8!! nice to hear what lapping can do :) i'm also planning to lap my globalwin wbk38 as it also has seere machine marks which really drop performance. i hope to get about 2-3 degrees celsius improvement.

Yeah, do it it is quite easy and very effective in my mind.
It took me only about 1 hour of intensive work to do it.
I didn´t go for mirror finish, I stopped a 600 grit wet lapping.
Afterwards I applied a very thin layer of AS II again and thats it.

YUP!! Nobody really needs to get a mirror finish
