My old trusty videocard has died and i'm looking at getting a new one.

I can pick up the card mentioned below for 155$ canadien.
Is this a decent card? And what's the difference between the ultra and this one? At the moment I burned up my 330 viper. eheh so i'm sure this asus will be a lot better than that. Just looking for some friendly advice. Will this card rock?

Ultra is far superior to the mx versions for benchmark speeds.

Placid is correct. I would borrow a card until you can afford the Ultra. GF2 Ultra is probably the best damn gaming card made.

yeah, wait for the ultra, or right now for 60 bucks get the radeon le, it can whoop any mx, and its got lots of room for tweaking

I'd try pricewatch flycore. I am sure you can find a good GF2 ultra.

Da Whip is correct. The GF2 Ultra even bests the GF3 ... at 16-bit color, at least. I'd wait for the GF3MX, until then I'd go with a Radeon.

I'll wait until nVidia use 3Dfx's Rampage/Sage, or for BitBoys' card with 1024bit ram interface

wait? ehha. damn. well, can't really wait at the moment the card burned up.

I'll take the advice you guys have given me and order a radeon le this weekend.

I'm not a huge gamer anyway.

Thanks for the replies.
