View Full Version : Glaciator v. SK6
noise IS an issue
unless the delta with the SK^ can beat the glaciator with a 7V mod

i'd go glaciator, it is quieter and should shift more air on 12v than a delta on 7v.... not sure on price tho....

the glaciators just went down in price (I think they're $33.79 now).

I've never tried the Glaciator, so I can't really compare the two. However, I will tell you that the SK6 performs great with or without the dreaded delta.
I use the Sunon 26.2cfm fan (nice and quiet) on my SK6. CPU temps range from 38c idle to 46c max load (keep in mind the inaccuracy of motherboard temp monitors). 'Max load' for me means running folding@home or Prime95 torture tests for at least 72 hours.
I've also run across web site reviews where the SK6 performed excellent with fans other than the delta.

well, look at it this way, SK6 will give better temps and costs a bit cheaper, it will be a bit louder though. Temps will be actaully pretty much the same as a Glac. if used with the same dB fan.
