i know it sounds lame, but i want the music from half life 2 (you know, those bits that they play in the game).
where is that data stored and can i get to it/extract it?

those little bits are great! don't feel bad for wanting them *i don't want them* but they do indeed make the game great and it was one of the little subtlties that makes the half life series so great.

Hey dont feel bad, I love the music from some of the newer Final Fantasy games. I am assuming you searched the web for a fan that has done it already?

Not sure, but are they in .pak files? I'm pretty sure quake used that format and you could exract them using a pak file viewer. I think half life 1 was like that too.

They r compiled in source sounds.gcf in C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps

U need GCF Scape to open extract the mp3s.

Anyone know how to get the music from Medal of Honor Pacific Assualt? There are some great songs that arent in the music folder..... ingame stuff.. any ideas on how to extract them?
