I was ta fry's today and I saw a MB in the new format socket "m478b" or what ever they call it.
OMG it is SMALL!! Apx. 1" by 1.25" it also has this large plastic square thing around it for mounting the HSF(about 3"x4").

That green border around the P4 is gone on the northwood chip. It's like the pins now come straight out the bottom of the core. The big socket is not needed. The chip looks like a big piece of metal. No pcb.

but the problem new is with all teh spare PCB around the socket the board bends like a b..... when you clip on heatsinks. Make sure you have the board screwed down in a case b4 puttin them on. I think ive broken traces or something because teh board acted like DOA...it couldve been though...but the thing was so bent outta shape.

What is the name of that board?
The old style one is the Abit BW7-RAID and the new stlye is the Abit BL7-RAID.
