Hey, I was thinking of buying one of their 500w or 550w power supplies to go with my new computer. My dad bought a 500 watt one from newegg with two 80mm fans but it is no longer there. It has stable accurate voltages but it is only powering an athlon xp 2.2Ghz. I just want to know if that was a fluke or if they really make good power supplies before I order one. Thanks.

AFAIK they do not. I would much rather stick with brands such as OCZ, Antec, Enermax and Forton/Sparkle

No one knows whether they're good or not, because no one wants to be the first to try.

I have the 500 watter powering my system in my sig. So far I'm impressed.

Made by Wintech, the same OEM as Ultra uses. Should be about the same quality.

So Wolf, you would say this is an above average PS, but not top of the line (like PC&Power)?

Ok, is that good or bad? Well, since my dad had a good experience with one and someone else did too while there are no bad experiences, I think I'll get myself one too.

My impressions are they're average for build quality. I would call them Thermaltake/Sirtec competitors, but I just don't find them much to be excited about.

This Rosewill actually replaced my Thermaltake 420 watter and the caps were larger as well as the torrids. What I like about it, its it has alot more +12V amps than the TT did, plus it runs alot cooler. My TT was starting to show strain, as under load, my LED fans would dimm just a tad.

I am starting to like rosewill stuff. I got 3 of their 17" LCDs and they are great. None of them had any dead pixels or anything. I also have 2 cdrw/dvd combo drives from them that are fine. I think Rosewill is a good budget brand.
