I can't figure what is going on here. My score on 3d mark05 is 1911. I just can't see whats going on here. I am using the 5.10 nvidia chipset driver and the 66.81 video card driver... the bios version is 1.3. AGP is enabled in the BIOS. Everything is at stock speed. What can I be doing wrong?

How about some system specs?
First question I usually ask when I see this is.......Is the video card showing as a AGP card or PCI card in Device manager and Nvidia Control Panel?

I concur. It looks like you need to install your gart driver.

you have AA/AF enabled? (quality vs performance)

Did you flash the bios at all?

I thought I installed the gart driver when I installed my chipset driver? Havent flashed the BIOS, as I don't know of any problems with version 1.3 except a 250 fsb limit...but I don't know this for sure. My device manager shows recognizes my video card and the driver. I havent messed with the AA/AF settings at all, can these settings cause a drastic performance loss like this? It should be at least 2,000 points higher. I'm not at home right now, so I can't test out those settings. What else can be the prob.? Is it maybe a setting in the BIOS? IRQ?

you did install the gart driver with the chipset driver but sometimes those things can be real picky.run dxdiag from the run command and see if texture acceleration is enabled if not reinstall the gart driver.if it is enabled then we need to dig a little deeper into your settings.
What 3dmark are you running? Do you have 512mb of memory or 1024mb? (it doesnt say in your sig) You dont have fah or anything else running in the background while you are testing do you?

2 x512. I have installed fresh twice now, so I am pretty sure that nothing is running in the backround. I'll check on that run command when I get back home.

OK, I checked it out and direct draw, direct 3d, and direct agp acceleration is enabled. Still no good.

Yes it can, especialy if your on high quality and are forcing AA and AF settings in the cards control panel. For testing everyone usually runs Performance on the slider with AA and AF disabled.

I made sure that the performance slider was on performance, and the AA/AF is disabled. Still, 3d scores are 2000ish on 3dmark05, and 6000ish on 3dmark03. The cpu scores on 3dmark is good though; 5197...
