Make sure the card is firmly seated in its slot.

Like Zuck said, make certain the card is seated properly. Try removing it, then inserting it again. Make sure the "bottom" edge of the card is parallell with the AGP or PCI port's connector. It's sometimes difficult to detect wether or not the 2 edges are parralell. Take a close look. (See attached)
itsseated correctly but i still get no video

As of right now it could be any number of things:
Dead CPU
Dead Motherboard
Dead Video Card
Bad PSU
Bad Memory
The reason I ask so many questions is so I can tell what's working and what's not . . .
And if you have other cards (ie: sound, modem, NIC) take them out because a bad card can also make the computer unbootable (I had a sound card once that wouldn't even let the video kick in....took the card out and it worked fine though).
i get no beep codes
my fans do turn on
but i do believe i have a dead cpu
but not sure so i bought a new one will be here in a week or 2
