View Full Version : Does anybody know where to get the small fans that go into the orbs?
I have an old orb that I had bought for my old Emachines comp that I have recently sold. I dont use the orb anymore, but am building a new comp for my kids and would like to use the Orb on it since I wont be doing any real killer OC'ing with it. The fan inside the orb died and I would like to know if anybody out there has any idea where I could purchase a new fan for it? I had attached a regular square fan onto the top of the orb with screws to make it work and cool. But that looks really cheasy and I want to return it to stock condition. Any leads will be appreciated, thanks.

Try contacting ThermalTake themselves for a replacement fan. I'm pretty sure that's the only way
I don't think you'll be able to find a replacement fan for your orb. Do you want to use the 7000rpm thermaltake storm fan. It'll fit onto an orb. The storm fan cost around ten dollars and you can get some info on the thermaltake website.

If memory serves, which it often doesn't, you can remove the outer portian of a standard 60mm fan and use double-stick tape to secure the 60mm fan motor to the heatsink. Worth checking out anyway . . . . .
