The rotter fan in my SSF is reallly loud that I had to unplug it and leave the side panels open instead.
Its one of the weird slim rectangular fans that have a pipe with fins that spins around. It moves air really well, but for the past few months its getting louder and louder. I know on regualr 80x80mm fan you can open and add wd-40 to make it quieter and run better, but I wouldn't know how to do that with this type of fan.
Can anyone help me silence that stupid fan?
Why don't you get a new silent fan instead?

You mean a cage blower? A few SFF cases use long cage blowers as an exhaust since they're fairly compact and efficient.

Blowers are not hard to find, you just wont find many at your normal pc websites.
Btw, I have a torin blower here, and it has a plastic plate you can take off to oil it. Look under stickers, they like to put them there.

I have the same fan and the same problem. Can you show me where to get a silent blower?

Thanks Sentential for looking for this fan.
While you were looking I guess, I got so sick of the noise that I went and took out the back blower. So far there is no change in temps. I read somewhere before I bought this case that the back blower did little to nothing to cool the case, and I think they were right.

You could always mod your case and add 2 Axial fans instead of that blower

Yes, you got it right again! I'm trying to see if I could add a fan or two where the blower was. From what I can tell so far, I think it'll work. I just have to work out the details. I'll finally get to use my Dremell...maybe...lol.
