I know that the Dell iXPS and the 9100 are upgradeable. Not sure about the rest. Alienware has some as well like the Area-51. I know that most of the HP and Compaq laptops have intergrated graphics which rules out upgrades.

Depends on the company - Dell inspirion 9100 / 9200 can be upgraded to the 9800 256mb cards

Sager you can upgrade i beleive as well.

Im going to take mine apart tomorrow and have a look.
Its a fugitsu seimens amilo D7850 with ATI 9200 64mb.
Its not too bad but struggles a little in some games.

I think any laptop with the ATI x600 should be upgradable. ATI made some modular proprietary form factor, so in theory you should be able to upgrade it to future ATI video cards. The only laptop I know of is the Acer Aspire 1800 that has this card.

A good indication may be if the graphics adapter uses system memory. Surely an onboard video chip would use a section of system memory, and a seperate expansion card would use its own memory.
