View Full Version : ATI All-in-Wonder 128 Pro 32MB
I recently purchased retail for a very good price. It doesn't have a HS fan but it does have a large heat sink.
I know less than nothnig about video cards and I am not a gamer. I like watching movies with my 21" Intergraph monitor.
Here's my question:
Should I try to overclock this? The reason for the question is that some of the cd movies the picture will lag ( best I can explain it is like what happens if you have a video cam and have a video conference with someone...when they move, the picture turns into blocks till they stop moving... is anyone understanding me here?)
come on, kids... I'm reaching out here!

you should oc it, you wont see much performance difference, because that large hs is really not even not needed, there is almost no heat produced by an ati card (my gf2 burns my finger, should gotten a radeon:().......im surprised its lagging, because those ati cards are awesome wth 2d.......

Your lagg prob may not be caused by the vid card as much as it may be from another HW prob. Memory, processor, or cd/ hard drive speed. What is your system setup?
Yeah, I'm gonna kindof side with Sam. It sounds like your video card may be waiting for info to be sent to it. Let us know what you system info. is. I dl'ed a program called radeon tweak to OC my video card (radeon 32mb ddr). Look for a post by Pinky for the link to where you can get it.
ok.. here's my system:
P3 850 e
448 mb sdram (generic) cas 2, 2, 2
abit Be6-ll
ATI All-in-Wonder 128 PRO (32 mb)
creative platinum 5.1 sound
10 gig Maxtor (hooked up to UDMA cable) hpt 366
6 gig quantum hooked up to ide
Plextor 12x10x32 CD-RW

That should run fine. Might want to run a benchmark and see if your getting tied up somewhere. You said CD movie? DVD? What format and software?
