I want to start doing some volt-mods to my Mobo and a sense mod to my PSU but I need a good place to get all the different resistor's I will need. I checked my local radioshack and they seemed to have nothing.

Is there a good on-line store that is in Canada? or maybe one that will ship to Canada that does not use UPS or charge high shipping rates?

Thanks for the help guys.

RadioShack should have them... did you check out another RadioShack. It will not be worth buying them online becuase you'll end up paying a rediculous shipping price.

www.mouser.com is your best voltmodding friend :)

They ship internationally, and have a huge selection of VRs and resistors. With your resistors, make sure that you buy low-wattage ones for your PSU voltmods. If you get the huge ceramic high wattage ones, you'll have trouble doing a nice clean mod.

That is a awsome thing to offer me man thanks a lot! It is things like this that make this board so dope. However I think I will just order them from the site Felinusz linked me too. I will hopefully be doing quite a few mod's and might as well start ordering from them.

Hopefully I will have a succesful mod thread on here soon enough  .

This sounds like silly advice, but you may as well order a whole bunch of VRs and resistors at once, because once you start voltmodding, you'll get hooked, and end up Vmodding everything in your case ;)

If you order a bunch at once, you save on shipping later on :D

Trust me, I wish I'd done that (10 mouser orders, and 10 shipping charges later..... ).

I was considering doing that just looking up all the possible volt-mods that can be done for my hardware and ordering the parts for all of them :D.

Felinusz is their brokerage fee's when you have item's shipped to you from mouser?

I've personally bought from Sayal (www.sayal.com). Good people. Usually it takes a day to get things in from the warehouse and the prices are in line with USA's Digikey. I usually do pickup in Burlington, ON. If you are worried about fees, drop me a pm. I have a mailing address in the states and usually deal with Hosfelt. Or I could get you some part numbers if you want to deal with Sayal. I've bought enough caps, resistors, and even a mosfet from them to vouch for them as good supplier. Sayal only deals in manufacturer's part numbers. Avoid radio shack. The Canadian Radio Shacks stock way less than their US counterparts.

So long as your order is valued at less than ~$20 (I'm not actually sure what the cut-off point for duty fees is specifically - don't quote me on this ;)), you shouldn't have any duty fees.

I do know that the cut-off on duty fees for "Gifts" is $50, because I was nicked for duty on used goods labelled as a "Gift" that were valued at $250, after which I promptly sent a complaint to Customs, who told me that the cut-off was $50 :-/.
