Buy the cheapest choice 1 or 2 next I would select Chaintech. reason for evga as a good choice is their step up program that can be used within 90 days.

Good call, I would recommend the XFX board, as it was among the first to market and has been a great performer! Good price, very nice looks and great overclockability. Enjoy (I too just switched from the ATI camp...as much as I've enjoyed my Radeons, I'll buy the fastest part for the money when it comes down to it! :) )

I'm a little confused. You said you were initially going to get a 9800pro, which is an AGP card, now you want the 6600GT PCI-E. Either you're buying a new motherboard as well and you were going for one of the new Nforce4 or Intel PCI-E motherboards, or you don't realize that the 6600GT PCI-E doesn't fit in your current motherboard.

had an XFX and it was SWEET!(AGP tho)
if you get one of these check the face on the heatsink, mine was really rough. lapped it and lost 5 degrees on load temp. also autodetected a little higher.
you also get dual dvi (i don't know if this matters to you or not.
