Hello, I purchased this card (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-119-127&depa=0) some 5 days ago, but because I live in Switzerland I have to wait till the 15th for a relative to bring it over (due to bitchin' dad wanting to save $13 dollars s/h....). So I was searching for info, unluckily it I couldn't find much that I could understand. So I did some searches and came to this (http://www.enet.com.cn/marketplace/DP50055.html) site, and tried to make out whatever I could. Something did catch my eye, reading the specs I saw that they rate the memory 2.8ns, and I suddenly remembered that the standard memory on most 9600xt's is 3.3ns, so 300mhz effective. If my math is correct, the memory should go up to 350mhz  , it's not 100% certain, because newegg doesn't seem to list anything related, but there are a bunch of companies that send cards with memory underclocked, I'll shoot Elsa a mail to verify, oh god just have to wait for the time being.

BTW, I think I got a bunch for $150, probs the best 9600xt heatsink I've ever seen, and VIVO function, can't wait.... Ohh and happy New Year! :santa:

Wouldnt be surpised if the ns is higher. You see that alot on gfx cards. However it is definatly an added bonus  Congrats!

Well, some cards even of the same brand and type use different memory. I have a 9800se in my stepdad's comp that has 2.8ns memory, even though every else who bought the card said they recieved 3.3ns memory. I wouldn't be too hopeful because this is known to happen. Most cards will use 3.3ns as it is within spec, but if the manufacturer has lots of 2.8 from higher video cards they will include it from time to time. In no way does one card having specific ram mean another will. I don't want to rain on your parade, but it is also just as possible that the card uses 2.8ns memory. It is luck of the draw. Also, $153 seems like a lot of money for a 9600xt these days, considering that is the standard price of used 9800pros.

Yeah that's what I think as well. But $150 is right for what I got, considering it's new.

Yay, I think I'm completely sure it'll have the 2.8ns or better. From what I saw, 3.3ns 9600xt mem. is usually rectangular in shape, but anything better (2.8ns and better), is square, which matches the RAM on the pics. Hehe.
