Looks like they are going to make non silicone based products soon that are non electricly conductive, Flowerman at at the [HARD]forum did a preliminary test and it beats the snot out of Nanotherm so far......Maybe AS will explain the ceramic properties as Nanotherm has yet to do so.

Arctic Alumina (preliminary testing):
Ambient= 25.5*C
Idle=26.5*C
Load= Yet to be determined

Nanotherm Ice:
Ambient= 28*C
Idle= 29*C
Load= 31.7*C

Please don't believe the numbers quoted. FLOWERMAN has revised his test method. So far the best tests are here. (http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=37&threadid=550452) It looks like Arctic Silver Alumina will be the premier value thermal compound.

Colin,

I don't really look at this new formula as a Value thermal compound, but rather than for its Non electical conductivity properties. I guess time will tell but it looks promicing.:rolleyes:

If you follow the instructions, Arctic Silver will not harm your system. It is not conductive and only slightly capacitive.
