Hi everyone...i'm planning to buy a new HSF probably the Glaciator...but right before i do anything...I have to take out my stock HSF...i have a celeron 700...and the HSF that came contains cheap ass thermal paste...do i remove the thermal paste on the core of the cpu??...or just the HSF??...how would i remove??...

edit: and yes you remove ALL the juice, core and HSF.

Follow up the Goof Off with some rubbing alcohol.

I would recommend against using rubbing alcohol. Use 91% isopropyl alcohol (available at any drugstore). Rubbing alcohol contains glycerin which will stay behind after the alcohol evaporates. You want thermal compound in all those microscopic nooks and crannies, not glycerin.
