I had thought it would be very loud, but its not that bad at all.
I have a Alpha PAL6035 with a Delta fan and its a bit loud but i guess cause in my case i have all these holes for the case fans, maybe if you have a close case it shouldn't be that loud, but one thing for sure is that Deltas blow lots of air :)

With an open case they sound like a hair-dryer on the low setting. But if the case is buttoned up tight, most people can live with 'em(but not me).
It's loud but works like a champ!!
With both sides of the pc on its not bad,but on the hot days when the sides are off it sounds like(according to the wife)a vaccuam cleaner.

i personally think it'z damn loud
cause i couldn't hear the doorbell and when my mum came back i can neva hear it so she got very frustrated and she hates my pc now.
well but good cooling = LOUD
(watacooling is the only exceptional)
I have a delta on my Vantec 6045D. Luckily I have an airport fairly close to me. When I want to get some sleep, I just call them and ask if they can change their approach routes to pass over my house and drown out the sound of the delta.
i had a delta but it drove me crazy. had it on my alpha pal 6035 for about a week. i coundnt stand the noise. i went out and bought a new case and 4 80mm fans and my computer is 1000 times quieter.
the people who say its not loud already lost their hearing.
I don't think it's that bad. Especially when your case is on! LOL!
But I am very pleased with it's performance!

the delta is a good perfomance fan at the price of the noise.
I did the 7v mod on mine and it sounds like a normal generic 60mm fan and it still cools well!!

If you have your case sitting on your desk it might be too loud for you, but if you have it sitting on the floor you might be able to stand it. Me personaly have my case sitting on my desk with a delta inside. Its loud but my mom says I'm deaf anyways so what do I care. :p

I got a Deltas 60mm attach to SK6, it's very loud! but the thing drive me crazy is the high pitch noise!
Fuzz
i just ordered myself 2 60mm ys tech 40.1cfm fans for my alpha p3125. they were about half the price of the delta 38cfm fans, and the ys tech fans have a 4pin for the power, and also include a rpm sensor for the 3 pin line.

What is the point of running a delta @ 5V??? I dunno, not trying to bash anyone or anything, just wondering why you didn't just get a slower quieter fan in the first place :D

Because you didn't think that the noise could possibly be that bad. That's why you would do that.
Not that I would run it at 5V...I would have more of a tendency to play a few innings of base ball with it. :D

After about 2 innings its the quietest fan you'll ever hear.
I run mine at 7v but i am waiting for my reostat to turn up...
then i can runit a bit daster without that high speed noise!!

i don't think it is REALLY all that loud...it is louder than most fans though, but as long as it is not in a TOTALLY silent room, just a tv on and u won't hear it

Ahahahahaha...sorry, but this is the funniest reply I ever heard, lol. Why you all worried about the noise damnit? When you peeps rev your engines you want it to sound like a dust blower?
I say, make my cpu sound like a lawn mower, the more noise the crazier it is :D
well if you have your pc in your bedroom the delta will drive you nuts if your trying to sleep.
