k now whats a better choice gett a gig of Corsair 4000Pro at 3-4-4-8 so i can reach 250 fsb running 1:1
or the low lantecy 3200XLPro so any o/c with be running 5:4 but with 2-2-2-5 timings

any ram with 2-2-2-5 timings nowadays is almost guaranteed to be TCCD, which is rated for 3-4-4-8 at 250 anyways.

I would go for the XL Pro myself. Pretty much guaranteed TCCD and they will usually do 2.5-3-3-7 or 8 at 250.

Given the long pipeline and the flexible FSB/mem-divider, memory isn't very important on P4s, and would rarely be the limiting factor. Running async works just fine on a P4, as I'm sure you know.

But to answer your question I think running 250 1:1 would be slightly better than 200 5:4.
