I just wanted to post this thread to say how much I like logitech now, and to say how good their customer service is -

about a year ago I bought a cordless desktop mx, but over time from prolonged use the paint on the top of my mx700 started to come away, leaving a nasty rough patch that started to scrape the palm of my hand raw if I gamed for long periods. I emailed the logitech customer support, detailing the problem, how much I used it and if this was considered 'wear and tear' and thus not under warranty. They emailed back early next day telling me that if I wasnt satisified with it in its current state then the product wasnt good enough in their opinion - they would send me a new mx700 as a replacement!!!! I had to supply them with all the serial numbers from my set (as the new mouse had to match the frequency of my reciever), and as proof of owneship I had to post them the battery door from my mx700 to switzerland (i live in the uk). I sent it via 3day registered mail - within a week of sending it a complete new mx700 mouse arrived at my house; iv just been home to pick it up, and opened it to find it came complete with additional basestation/charger and two sets of rechargeable batteries!!! They worked really hard to make sure the problem was resolved and that I had a new mouse in time for christmas :D

Iv never experienced customer service as good as this, and I just wanted to share it with you all!

Wow, that's really pretty tight! I have some logitech products too, but I've sorta modded them so it's not going to do me much good anymore...

Excellent news. I, too, have been very pleased with both Logitech's products and their outstanding service. Just a heads up, though: this probably belongs in Vendor Discussion, and will probably be seen more in that forum. Hopefully a mod can appropriate this to the right spot. Anyhow, enjoy your new MX.

I just wish they would start selling components to their speaker systems if you can prove you own the whole set. You shouldnt have to buy a whole new set of speakers cause you broke the one with the control's attached to it.
